Let’s face it… any parent would agree that watching their child scribble marks on a page is one of the most exciting preschool milestones to reach. While waiting impatiently for the day when wobbly little letters will grace our fridge-top art collection, we watch our little ones scribble and experiment with lines and squiggles (sometimes on our freshly painted walls!). But those lines and squiggly patterns, better known as prewriting, are actually as important as letter formation.
The ‘Ready, Set, GO!’ pack is the first pack in our prewriting series. The pictures in this pack contain prewriting patterns that are commonly used in schools to encourage left to right orientation, build foundations for letter formation, and build/work towards pencil control. Early exposure to these patterns in a fun way will lay the necessary foundations for writing.
Children need to develop effective prewriting skills before any letter formation or other handwriting skills can be developed. These skill are achieved through the practice of lines and strokes in a developmental sequence. The shapes included eventually make up the letters in the alphabet; vertical and horizontal lines, circle shapes, diagonal lines etc. So, race down our track, sail through our marina and take a stroll through our flower garden to get those little fingers working!

PLEASE NOTE
I’m sure it won’t come as a shock, but orders are taking a bit longer than normal to get out to you.
We’re doing everything we can to fulfil your orders as quickly and safely as we can, but please bear with us.
As a small family business, we are reliant on our wonderful suppliers and printers getting out to work under challenging circumstances as well as Royal Mail, who understandably aren’t able to be quite as fast as we’re all used to. We would like to thank them all for even making this possible.
We really appreciate the continued support we have been receiving and are extremely thankful for every single order.
Stay safe.
